BV + Boric Acid

Hi Everyone!
I've looked through many entries and feel like I've seen some conflicting information....does Boric Acid work ONLY for Yeast? Or does it also effectively work for BV? Is there something that works better for BV? I've had quite a few bouts of BV and would prefer to stop using soooo many antibiotics. Thanks everyone :)

Thank you so much! Do you use the Boric Acid in the capsule form? And (sorry this is tmi) but do you use any sort of applicator to insert the Boric Acid? I'm always afraid I'm not getting it up far enough or inserting it correctly. I'm really relieved that it has worked for you because I literally just finished metrogel for a case of BV 2-3 weeks ago and I'm pretty sure it didn't do much. It seemed to help but I'm still noticing symptoms.

Yes, I used capsules I made myself. My hormones were going crazy (which can change your pH) and I was constantly bleeding (which can make things even worse), so I invested in supplies to make my own capsules.

I just used my longest finger to push it up as far as it would go, before bed. I used one capsule on wed and sun evenings...an active infection could go 5-10 days, but I never had to do that. Once you have re-acidified the vagina, the symptoms go away.

You will probably have a watery gush the next day but that's the worst it will ever get :) Good luck!
