How Can I Make Myself Taste Better?

So yeah, long story short my girlfriend doesn't like how my pussy tastes :/ she said she feels horrible about it because I love giving and getting oral and so does she. I'm pretty sure it's because my diet really sucks, and it's been really bad the past 5 months or so because i've been unemployed and depressed so my eating habits have kind of gone down the shitter. I eat a lot of dairy products too which i've heard can make you taste bad. So I have a few questions.
What foods should I eat more of to make myself taste better, what should I avoid eating, how long will it take before there's a change in the way I taste, and are there any other things I should do aside from changing my diet?

1. Drink more water.
2. Eat yogurt to support your flora, on the off chance that you have a low lying yeast infection.
3. Veggies, fruit, as much food from scratch as you can. (I understand how quickly stress and depression can destroy your eating habits!)
4. I've heard pineapple makes things taste sweeter, and coffee and meat impart an off taste.
5. But most of all, water.

Also things that can contribute to a stronger taste: garlic and onions.

I've heard pineapple works to sweeten you up a bit so to speak. I'd recommend drinking lots of water too. Basically stick to as many fresh foods as you can, think veggies and fruit, and as little processed foods/meats, as possible.

Possibly increase your fruit intake, decrease dairy? Though, I'm not sure how the acidity of some fruits will effect your taste. But definitely drink more of water.

In the meantime, you could use flavored dental dams. I know it's not the same, but ann beats nan as my gram would say.

It wouldn't hurt to do a quick swipe with a warm, wet washcloth beforehand either, especially if it's been hot and humid where you live. Part of it may just be the build up of sweat throughout the day and freshening up a bit could help. I know I don't smell or taste that great when I've been out getting sweaty on a hot day.

Eat lots of fruit, pineapple, banana, kiwi, all kinds. Cut down on things heavily flavored with onion, garlic, particularly pungent spices. Eat lots of veggies, but certain ones can affect your smell/taste down there in a bad way, basically the ones with strong kinda sulfur-y type flavors that can make your pee smell funny, like broccoli and asparagus. Avoid coffee, cigarettes, alcohol, excessive sugar (besides the natural sugars in fruit), excessive amounts of animal products, sodas...Keep very well hydrated, maybe take probiotics. Also, make sure it's not BV, which can cause a pretty icky smell (and probably taste, I've never checked to find out :P).

If it's your vulva that tastes bad to her, it could be sweat and urine residue, so drinking tons of water to keep your urine very dilute (very pale yellow, almost clear is good) and will keep it from leaving much of a smell if some doesn't get wiped off, and just giving yourself a wipe down with a washcloth every so often/before sex could help. If it's definitely the vaginal fluids that she doesn't like the taste of, you might see a doctor just to rule out yeast/BV infections. Is there itching, bad smell, clumpiness, anything like that? Have you switched detergents that might upset your bits? Are you using soap on your vulva? That can upset the pH and cause a yeast/BV infection. Also, cotton underwear, minimize the time you spend wearing tight clothing/thongs, making sure to pat yourself dry really well after showering can help.

If it turns out that she just isn't fond of your personal taste and nothing you do changes that, looking into flavored lubes that are glycerin-free might help. Sliquid is a really great brand of lube, no glycerin so no yeast problems, and they have tons of flavors. I haven't tried the flavored ones myself, but I've heard pretty good things about them, especially the green apple.

Pineapple is the most commonly discussed food to make you taste better, so try that. And other fruits, too. As for things to avoid, personally, I know onions and similar foods must affect my taste, because I can SMELL the difference so I'm sure it must be taste-able too. So maybe avoid onions and garlic and the like at times when you're hoping for some oral action.

In general though, it's pretty cool that you two seem to be okay discussing this, and I would take advantage of that. Ask her to try to let you know any time you taste notably better or worse, and then think back over what you've eaten and see if you can notice trends.

I am sooo addicted to pineapples. I eat a whole can at a time which is probably unhealthy but whatever I have a sweet tooth. I taste sweet right away (as soon as my body metabolizes it, which is like overnight after I eat it in the evening, so maybe a couple hours really).

I kiss my partner after he goes down on me, or I go down on him after he fucks me, so I can tell when I taste good and when I taste awful:

- Avoid bitter, especially coffee omg. I can smell it in my sweat and pee too. Sadly I'm a little caffeine-dependent.

- Go easy on strong-tasting things, like curry, onion, garlic, meat, and artificial flavoring, like instant ramen flavor packets. I understand it's hard to not eat them at all, because I stress-eat, hence the entire can of pineapple. I would space it out so it's not like a ton of it at once.

- I don't notice the dairy for some reason. I don't eat dairy myself too often, but my partner (with a dick) does. He eats a ton of pizza and burgers and puts cheese on EVERYTHING but he still tastes good so idk. ._. He only sometimes tastes strong if he's dehydrated or ate something strong earlier that day.

- Do eat a lot of fruit, particularly pineapple and sweet fruits, and drink water. Watch out for yeast infections though, from the pineapple. Maybe shower after sex. Or maybe don't eat an entire can in one sitting like I do. When I say the pineapple is sweet, you will taste SO SWEET. Omg.

- I taste really bad imo when I'm ovulating, like, the week before my period. Even worse than the coppery period itself, I swear. Just a warning. You might wanna ask for it like right after your period lol.

- Also, I shower right beforehand. Soapy is better than day-old sweat imo.

By the way, my partner has a huge thing for garlic. He'll eat cloves of it on pizza. So, in my case, he likes it more when I am garlicky.

The pineapple thing totally works btw. All I eat normally are veggies, pasta, chips, candy, and occasionally an egg or a bit of ground meat, so nothing really masks the OVERWHELMING SWEETNESS OF THE PINEAPPLE. Sooo sweet. Not joking.

Tbh you don't need to be perfect. Avoid vinegar, coffee, strong curries, etc. Meat and dairy is okay in my experience. I eat an average amount of processed junk as I am at uni as well, but I do eat a lot of fruits and vegetables as well. (I AM pathetic and don't drink or smoke ANYTHING though.) The night before the day that you want to taste good, eat an entire can of pineapple. Maybe even incorporate pineapple in your regular diet. Short answer: You would taste sweet if you ate a can of pineapple the night before or the morning of, so 12 hours. Taste yourself.

By the way, don't worry too much about what you taste like. If you had a long day, shower beforehand if you don't want to be STALE, but honestly I taste alright even on dehydrated, black-coffee-and-curry-ramen days. Not THE BEST, but the worst a pussy can ever taste like is to taste like pussy -- but pussy is hot! So what I'm saying is that it'll be hot for whoever's eating you out REGARDLESS of anything. Sure, it'll taste sweeter if you eat pineapple, but will you still be hot even if you taste like regular ol' pussy? YES. It's a pussy! Pussy is supposed to taste like pussy. In addition to all the food suggestions, you didn't mention whether or not you smoke (tobacco) and in my experience I taste a lot worse when I'm smoking regularly. I should quit.

Basically what everyone said. Only thing I can advise would be a morning 'tasty shake' loaded with pineapple, mango, orange juice, strawberry, plain yogurt and (if possible) some greens like kale or wheatgrass (garnered from the appropriate juicer). Some diets rich in spices (like cinnamon and nutmeg) can impart a 'pumpkin pie'-esque taste and fenugreek can give one a 'maple syrup'-esque flavor.

Smoking (anything) will contribute to an off taste, dairy (milk and cheeses), red meat, sulfer based foods (like broccoli), onion, garlic, coffee/caffeine drinks, and alcohol are all things you should avoid to taste better.

Also, if you dye your hair, you may get a chemical taste/smell, though not all products cause that. So ... trial and error. And hair depilatories (like Nair/Neet) will also transfer a strong smell to your vagina. Both pass through a body to where you don't want them very quickly.

i was drinking water with lemon a couple of times a day to reduce BV symptoms (it really worked; go figure), and one of the side effects was a most pleasant citrus-y scent/taste down below.

Another method is Herbal Tea
If you really, really want to make sure, you can rinse your vagina with mint tea once a week. It’s a classic “grandma’s advice” and has worked for generations – it will work for you too. It’s cheap and easy to do – and will really help your vagina smell and taste as good as possible.

Thank you for the suggestion! It's been quite awhile since I posted this XD but since people are still adding to this thread I might as well give you all an update! I've stopped eating dairy (I found out i'm allergic to it and a bunch of other things like gluten, soy, oats, and regular yogurt. I can have yogurt as long as it's made with coconut milk or another milk substitute). I also stopped eating red meat completely and i'm weaning myself off of poultry and fish. My girlfriend is now my boyfriend (he came out as trans about a year and a half ago), and i'm happy to say i'm smelling and tasting a lot better and he actually enjoys going down on me now :) I still have days where I taste off though, so I do want to try using the mint tea. Do you douche with it? Like what would be the easiest way to go about it?
