Mucus plug in early pregnancy

I've been noticing a lot of extra discharge the last few days, and although I have no idea if I'm pregnant or not (too early to tell, not due for my period for a few more days) I did some cursory googling and found out that excess discharge can be a symptom of very early pregnancy.  Which leads me to my question - can you feel your mucus plug on your cervix?  I'm pretty familiar with how my cervix feels throughout my cycle, and while I haven't gone poking around, I was wondering if I would even be able to tell.

How many days until your period is due? Some are able to get a positive test as earky as 5 days before a missed period. The Dollar Store acruakkt has really good test. $1 a pop, and they are super-reliable! As far as the mucus plug goes, it probably is starting to form, but I don't know that it woyld be big enough to feel. Anyway, if you suspect you might be pregnant, poking around your cervix is not a good idea. If I were you, I'd just pick up 5 Dollar Store tests and test with your first urine of the day for the next 5 days. Good luck and I hope you get the answer you're looking for!

I'm 15 weeks, and honestly, my cervix doesn't feel any different than pre-pregnancy. Excessive discharge before your period honestly can mean either your are pregnant, or getting ready for your period. The only thing was that my discharge usually dried up/stopped being excessive the day before my period. Of course, I tested 3 days before my period was due because I was having nausea and my breasts felt and looked different.

You should read about the FAM of contraception, and/or the Billings method. It's really informative about the mucous changes in your cycle. What does your mucuous look like? Is it watery, sticky/tacky, or stretchy...these are all common during your cycle. You also have a mucous plug that dissolves a few days before ovulation -- I've had discharge that looks almost like jelly that indicates this. If you don't think pregnancy is likely then I would think that this is the cause. :) Hope that helps!

I'm 15 weeks as well and I'm just starting to get the "excess discharge" they say you get around the second trimester. Along with my energy finally back (after no sleep at ALL yesterday). I had no symptoms before I found out I was pregnant though...my period was just five days late. We were trying, but imagine my surprise when there was actually a plus sign!

When I was pregnant I had discharge immediately. I'd say def from the day my period was due, probably a bit earlier. I kept running to the bathroom thinking my period had come.
