Sex-Induced Period

I had sex last night, and it was a bit rougher then I'm used to. I also haven't had sex in a while, so my vagina might be out of practice.

He definitely hit my cervix a lot, giving me that 'ouch, you just punched me in the cervix' feeling. Could the cervix punching make my period start two days early? I'm on birth control and I usually get my period on tuesday night or wednesday morning. But it's sunday night now and I've started bleeding really lightly (definitely from my cervix, not from my vaginal canal).

Sex often triggers my period. Masturbation and orgasm do, too. I remember a post about this, and there were a lot of people with the same experience. It might have something to do with the contractions of the vagina? But that's just a guess. Also, sex and orgasm have ended my period a little early. It can cause random cramping, etc. So yeah, I would say that cervix stimulation/punching can definitely trigger your period to start early. :)

Orgasm causes contractions, and sexual arousal increases blood flow to the whole area. Thrusting is going to jostle everything in the area, too. So it would not be at all surprising that you might've had a period-jumpstart from the combination, really! (Or, if you're not on HBC (or, really, even if you are, if you've already stopped your active pills), maybe it'd have started early anyway!)
