Sex blankets?

Is there any sort of product like a blanket or sheet (not vinyl sheets!) that one could throw down before having sex so as not to encounter a wet spot on the bed? Haha, thanks in advance!

There sure as hell is!

It's expensive, mind you, so you might be best off getting a cheapie fleece blankie. If you're really... umm.. juicy... it might not eliminate the wet spot entirely but it sure helps and feels so nice and fuzzy.

Yep, a polar fleece throw or blanket costs very little, is very comfy, and during my experiments coped with about half a litre of warm water. Hurrah for being a geek!

We have a few so if one's in the wash we have spares. They also fold up to be very small, and don't scream "SEX BLANKET!".

But... what if you *want* it to scream SEX BLANKET?

That's actually a pretty good name for a band.

Fabric paint? ;)

I howled with laughter over that. Hubby and I agree, we'd probably give that band a listen.

Fleece or maybe microfiber (I think that's what the Liberator throw is) would probably work nicely. And they come in such variety of patterns and colors! (Oooh, puns...)

Hehehe...Awesome. I want one.

Yeah, you NEED one!

I'm thinking of making a bunch of fleece filled throw pillows with pretty washable fabrics for all over my house...

I could market them!

We've been known to throw down a chucks pad to avoid that if need be. A large towel also works, I just don't like the texture of them.

A chamois?

They certainly do make sex blankets, as that other comment mentioned. The other possibility is a felt pad - I can't find any online because I can't think of the right key word, but I know they make them for putting under your baby. You could make one yourself fairly easily with thrifted sweaters/blankets - then you could make whatever size you wanted. Unless you don't have your own washer...then it'll suck to make your own. Quarters galore! That's why I stopped felting things. ;) Obviously you wouldn't want to do this if wool is itchy to you.

I just use a regular bath towel.

There's a similar blanket designed for protecting sheets/mattresses from menstrual blood, but it would probably work great for other bodily fluids, too: http://www.lunapads.com/product.aspx?ProductID=70&deptid=6&.

It seems like (from the info from the link from the comment above) it wouldn't be that hard to make. Use one layer of cotton fleece, one layer of flannel and one layer of thin, breathable nylon lining in between. Then you could make it any colors you want to go with your decor or just for fun. You can also make it any size you want and make as many as you want! lol! Have fun!

yup! a really nice, big, soft towel.

Nice big towel. You can get really nice fluffy ones (and soft!) at Target for fairly cheap.

I second a big towel.
If you have trouble with the towel and it soaks through, though, dab up what you can then spray Between The Sheets. It's powdered based and helps eliminate the wet spots. My clients love it.

I got a big microfiber towel at Target for $10. (I use it for my hair, but it was packaged as a "dog" towel, like from the pet care section, which probably saved me a few bucks.) I don't know the biggest size microfiber towels are available in, unless you think you could contain your activity to a 2.5' by 4' rectangle :P but they do absorb well and dry quickly.
mysexcloset luv mat sex blanket17th-Feb-2010 02:09 am (UTC)
Hey I know this post is kinda old but here's my 2 cents anyway... since the fascinator throe did not work for me, I used a luv mat to see if it would work any better. To my surprise it did...absorbed the wetness instead of making me lie in it! Since I've spent money on both, take it from me, an avid squirter, the luv mat is a better deal.

We have a new Waterproof Sex Blanket that people like better than the liberator. (It's not just us lol) Check us out at NoMoreWetSpot.com. It's 4'X5', lightweight, machine washable and compact. Oh yeah, it's cheaper than the liberator too!
