vitamin c to induce period

My friend has used vitamin c to induce her period once before. I don't know if anyone here has ever heard of this or done this. I had unprotected sex over the weekend and i THINK i'm supposed to get my period on wednesday(tomorrow) but i'm not really sure because i took myself off birth control and it might have messed up my cycle. should i start doing the vitamin c now? or wait awhile to see if i am actually pregnant before trying it?

take up to 6000mg of vitamin c a day for 3 days. i'd probably wait to see if your period is late first though... i did this when my period was over a week late. i just used the 1000mg vitamin c tablets disolved in water, although it wasnt very fun drinking 6 of those a day.

Here you go, this is very helpful:

She suggests using the methods listed starting on the first day of the missed period if possible, up to 3 weeks after, but "the sooner the better".

Take care!

Just a note: what you're talking about is an induced miscarriage, and a lot of people would tell you to be cautious about trying this "at home." If it doesn't work and you are actually pregnant afterwards, there will likely be damage to the fetus.

I've never tried it, but I know the vitamin C has to be the cheap kind, with no additives (no bioflavinoids), and that you have to take a ton of it. You may also go through severe cramping and physical discomfort.

I found this site full of personal experiences: http://www.sisterzeus.com/Sharing.htm#vitc
